When i sent out a e-mail to Rabbi Asher Federman and his wife Henya, i did not realize that they did not have a Camp Gan Israel. As i continued reading their heartfelt e-mail i was amazed at their warm words and kindness. They expressed that they wanted to be part of helping Ari and thought they might be able to,even though they did not have a Camp Gan Izzy. They sent out this beautiful T-shirt for Ari from their Lag Bomer program that they had this past year. It was a perfect fit! We worked on Ahavas Yisroel that day, and Ari learned the signs to the song "To Love A Fellow Jew" (he's catching on- its a long song!)Rabbi Asher Federman, you have shown your love for a fellow jew, a little nefesh'el (as my Zaidy OBM- used to call him) Ari. Although he is far from you- across the widest sea- you love him just the same!
